In my first group exhibition I chose to do a live oil pastel painting and for the first time, I gave my figure a human body, as opposed to previously a encapsulated solid or doll- like form, to symbolize the "breaking out of my shell' and self-acceptance, in a collection of knowledge that helps to bring my true being to form.
