Growing up children can be mean and sometimes insulting without knowing or understanding their words can hurt. I was always questioned about my skin colour or my teeth , like why are you so dark and your parents aren’t or you should get braces. The funniest thing was that I was such a softy girly girl when people asked me what my favorite colour was, in order to sound less girly I’d say blue and not pink. With the fear of someone making me feel silly for liking pink. Well as I got older I started to learn that my life and the things I enjoy don’t need the approval of anyone but me. And so I decided to accept myself as myself and live in the things that make me and reject all negative feelings about it. I come as I am.
