I Exist In A Vessel

Reminded of an animation film by William Kentridge, Pain & Sympathy, where a man lays on a hospital bed unable to heal and gets flashbacks of the choices he made or didn't make. Using that, I understood that you can heal from inside. So I chose to use charcoal because of its soft, granularity to project the fragility of our existence. My mother in her own way, always told me that my subconscious has a way of letting me know what was best for my body. That I should remain still, to find and always listen to it's voice.
